Big W haul Part One

I have been wanting to get g a Minnie mouse winter night onsie and a bonds pink polka dot onsie. Big W had both for $15 each, then I got some warmer stuff for daycare, two mega cute hoodie jumpers for $10. Cute pink heart long sleeve top $6. And a hooded Minnie Mouse coat $20.

Book review!

Found a cool 'how to be a hot mummy' book, haven't seen one of these for ages! Was really good for style tips and advice.

Fingers crossed the Wonder Week continues to be relatively pain free as it has been. I think because g is at daycare now, some of the fussiness signs like clinging to mummy have not manifested as bad (yet). G has been having health problems and ad to get blood tests - not fun! Especially so soon after immunisations. Poor bub. Got to get the girl some walking shoes as well now she is walking everywhere, pre walkers don't even fit now anyway eeek.

Coles sell more than groceries!

So turns out Coles sell more than groceries apparently! I found a Coles that have a massive mix and match apparel range, super cheap. Got G this skirt for $8 and socks for $6.00. There were heaps of nice cheap cute stuff, but finding the right size was an issue so we just walked out with these (after paying first lol). Also got G a pink polka dot ball as she is OBSESSED with balls at the moment.

who needs sleep

This laughing munchkin has awoken very early in this photo and thinks its funny.  Its a bit hard to be mad even though massively sleep deprived when you have such a cute  happy person waking you up.  Her hair is getting a bit cray cray and I am about to start sending her to daycare with it clipped back with a hair clip - more hair clips to lose! eek.

The big world out there

G loves the show Giggle and Hoot and In The Night Garden.  I have borrowed in the night garden books from the library, and G just loves them.  While googling for Giggle and Hoot merchandise I stumbled upon their website for kids: http://www.abc.net.au/abcforkids/sites/giggleandhoot/#/frame/games/join and then discovered in the night garden had one as well: http://www.abc.net.au/children/inthenightgarden/. It is pretty amazing, all I could think was OMG when is the appropriate age to introduce technology i.e access to websites and iPads etc?  I am not ready yet, but I don't think it is that far away....  We finally have actual walking, and walking everywhere! so proud of my little munchkin.

Bargains

BIg W had some really cute stuff, some things were cute and cheap but obvious bad quality in the long run. So I only got G these gorgeous polka dot track suit pants that were $7.96 and are good quality and these sock shoe novelty things. They were $4.96 and I probs shouldn't of got them but I'm sure I can think if ways to justify buying them. What I went in to Big W for was a Minnie Mouse sleep suit, but they didn't have any in G's size :-(.

Be mine Valentine

I love to dress G up for events, this Valentines one didn't go awfully well as we didn't get a chance to do a proper 'photo shoot' as we had a lot of errands to do, and while doing them we had major poo explosion which destroyed her clothes lol.  I also could not find her pink sequined heart clip I only just bought her!  So I had to pop in to SEED again to grab these red hearts for $7.95, we dont really have any other red clips so it's a justified purchase ;-).

Dream pram a year 2 late

I found my dream pram. It ticks every box, bassinet for newborn, reversible handles, seat inclines right up and it's a jogger - the sun hood is great. Unfortunately the best deal I can get is $1000. These days G is lucky to go in the pram twice a week as she is at daycare four days and I tend to just carry her on my hip for outings, more often than not. And next baby won't be for at least another 18mths. Such a shame I'm not rich as I would love this pram, but use vs $$ it is just not worth it for us now- the icandy peach jogger.

Sugar rush

This is what happens when you feed your 13mth old yoghurt buttons, when you have previously never given them treats their entire life:

. Give baby one yoghurt button while driving in the car, baby likes it
. Give baby a couple more than say no more left
. Baby smiles sweetly and says ta ta
.you give them one more button because the asked so nicely and are adorable
. Baby gobbles it and says ta ta
. You say no more baby, baby screws up faces and starts whinging loudly
. . You say oh my god, and fill up a cup of yoghurt buttons and say that's it baby
. Baby gobbles them down like a crazed junkie and whinges loudly again
. Repeat last two steps until packet is empty

NO MORE YOGHURT BUTTONS EVER! I feel like I have post traumatic stress from that experience. Picture is of baby desperately looking for more yoghurt buttons.

Tar'jay

The 'fancy' name for Target lol. I don't get to Target very often these days, so have managed to avoid it for awhile when I was on my budget blitz (wait...I'm still on it!). But then I popped in to have a look at their new kids range and I really really wanted the leopard print and polka dot jeans for G. Like really, really. Then today I got an email saying that they had 20% off kids stuff. I would of usually held out for 30% off, but to be honest I am tired of having to 'chase' bargains. So I went online and bought four jeans in bigger sizes and two tops and the cutest jumper for G -$85 and I did online lay bye to pick up in store, only 10% deposit. Since its all Winter and bigger size stuff I was in no hurry for it anyway!

Best and Less!

I used to be a very big connoisseur of Best and Less - that place is awesome for kids clothes!  However when we moved interstate, the closest Best and Less is way out of my way - obviously not as loved here as the last place I lived.  Made a special trip out to B&L and picked up a skirt, a dress a minnie mouse tshirt - all reduced to $5 each.  Also got two bond singlets that were in a pack for $10, I mistakenly thought they were onsies - but I guess I better start adapting to not being able to dress my baby in a onsie forever!  I also bought a huge amount of hair clips, since they have all gone awol. SO flippen cute!

Where do all the hair clips go?

I am really baffled about where all G's hair clips are. I always monitor her when we are out to make sure we don't lose any. I assumed they most of all been in the car somewhere (missing at least ten clips), but no lick. Next stop is to go through my handbags, maybe i popped them when she pulled them off while out. Not happy as some of those clips were so pretty! Compensated by getting online at Seed and buying two more sets of hair clips and a pair of adorable shoes. Came to $51 - shoes in next size up since she has a few shoes currently and does not wear shoes that often!

Sitting at the big girl table

G loves sitting on her plastic chair, and at daycare they sit them at the table to eat. So I thought it was time to get her own table and chairs. Found the perfect set at Kmart, $15 for the table and $5 a chair. It's great for washing off food and colouring in markers ;-). No point buying expensive things to be wrecked by a toddler! Love Kmart so much. Here is my baby who refuses to have day naps, since she has started at daycare a month ago they haven't been able to get her to have one :-s.

Those play centre thingies at shopping centres

I had not really paid much attention to those 'play centre thingies at shopping centres'. I remember walking past them and hearing kids screaming like they were having the times of their lives. M mm coaxed me to one with G. G loved it, she was in the 'baby area' that had a jumping castle, ball pit, lots of toys etc. basically you pay under $10 for entry (which at this place included a free drink) and you both put socks on and away you play. Since we don't do Gymbaroo anymore due to ack of time, I am thinking this is a good place to go on special occasions when the weather it crap to go to the park.
