12mth Needles and cheering up

G had her 12 mth needles :-(.  In preparation for them I went looking for a treat for her to have after she got her needles.  I was going to get her a chocolate biscuit, as I don't give her chocolate..but then I found these cool yoghurt sippy packs - there are tons of different brands in the supermarket fridge.  G has had a bit of a funny belly lately, so I chose the probiotic choice Vaalia in french vanilla.  So technically it was a treat, but a healthy one!  She was such a good girl and stopped crying pretty quickly and she LOVED her treat!  I also bought her this hairclip from Seed when I was in store checking out their new stock, thats mainly for me as she cannot yet appreciate pretty hair clips ;-).

The 'artist' at work

Turns out G loves colouring in!  I would of had no idea, except we were visiting her four year niece who was colouring in and G joined in.  She was really good it and definitely knew what to do.  So we promptly went out and bought her a huge colouring book and washable markers.

Winter shopping two times the fun!

Because in a few months it will be Winter where we live - and a long Winter, I have already started to panic and but Winter clothes! Because I don't have much of a Winter wardrobe I get to buy one for myself and because G doesn't have much of one I get to shop for her as well! Double the girl fashion fun.

Lady bug Jumper

I got this to add to 'dinner and fancy parties' dress wear, as G doesnt have that many fancy stuff in size one. Will look adorable with her fairy/angel wing tops

cutest polka dot cardigan

floral jeans to match mummy's.  Daddy not very pleased about this ;-)

dotty pants to match mummy's.  Daddy not very pleased about this ;-)

Puffer Vest!  how cute is it, it makes me want to have one the same
We have a couple of coats/jackets and a track suit already stored away. I wasn't going to buy anything more until closer to Winter when I could really tell what we needed to get G to keep her proper warm.  I have faithfully stayed away from the stores (especially Target!!).  But then I got a 30% off email from Cotton On Kids and decided that for the things I wanted, they were probably not going to go on sale for any cheaper than 30% off - I bought all online with free shipping. Total came to $120

my child needs to grow more legs

Dear Cotton On Kids.  Please stop making such cute clothes for kids, I seriously cannot afford to keep buying all this cute stuff and my child has way to many clothes (but I could justify new jeans and puffer vest!!).

My resolve is so good with not peeking in fashion stores, but I decided to peek into Cotton On Kids because I knew G had enough clothes anyway. But walked out with two pairs of leggings for $20 and a strong desire to buy a lot more.  I can justify the leggings because thats all she wears at daycare where she goes 4 to 5 days a week.  Though when putting these leggings away I remembered that I bought two pairs from there last week....hhhhhmmmm.  But how cute are they!

pressing the commit to buy button

I have been really slowing down on buying G clothes, at 12months old she has really leaned up and her body shape has changed (no more chub -sob!) and although she is in size one's they are very loose on her.  And because we will be coming into Winter sooner than other places, I am going to just wait and see what the Winter stock looks like.  Plus we are on budget thats starting to look very tight, other wise I totally would of done a Cotton On Kids haul as there new stock is super cute!

But I sold some things on Ebay and had some money in my Paypal account and decided to get G a personalised shirt as she has grown out of all her personalised things now.  I could only afford one as they are $22 and I picked this one in Pink - she had this in a onsie when she was little as well.  Next on my hit list is a personalised Disney Princess one, but will have to get cracking on listing more things to sell on Ebay :-).  I also 'accidentally' purchased this lavender Elmo dress, I meant to buy the pink Minnie Mouse one but when I pressed commit to buy, I had chosen the wrong dress number WHOOPS.  The dress cost $14 and she already has a few of these dresses so I cannot justify buying her another one to get her the Minnie Mouse, so I am a little bit annoyed - but its still a cutie dress.

Yay for baby G

G received some more belated birthday presents from another Aunty. I am so relieved, I was feeling bad for the poor kid. She LOVES the Giggle and Hoot pillow, still not really interested in dolls still and vaguely interested in the Violet Learning Pad. At the moment G just wants to climb in everything, she loves it. Very cute, though now she can climb up on the couch, it's a bit of a worry. g also loves her wading pool, it's pretty awesome it has a sunshade and blow up fish.

I want to buy the ABC shop

I love the ABC shop, it is full of lots of toys and clothing and accessories from all the ABC2 shows. Like Giggle an Hoot and Playschool. Because Hubby has specified that Gwen has to many toys, I am sneakily getting her things out of my budget ;-). I bought her this Elmo phone for $12.95 and a Giggle and Hoot swimming bag. I had actually been looking for a Minnie Mouse bag, but decided to settle for this instead. Luckily I dont have a credit card, otherwise I would of bought a lot more cure stuff from there!

Baby G is ready for Australia Day

Bought some Huggies Australia Day pink nappies for G.  Coles had stacks of them.  I thought they were a little bit funny and cute.

Bargains And daycare

G started a new daycare and it's going really well, she loves it! Im so relieved, that I've tentatively returned to work four days a week to see how it goes. And at daycare she is getting So grubby, food and paint etc. her clothes may not last as long as hoped, especially as she has leaned up now and I think she will probably be in size ones for a year vs the days of 000 where they lasted two months!

I was super happy when I stumbled upon the Cotton On Kids sale where tops and leggings were $5! $5!! I got two smocks and two pairs of leggings. No more dresses for awhile as she is not walking yet make crawling very awkward..

I love having a baby daughter

Though I am looking forward to having a little boy one day, I am SO glad I got my girl first.  I love dressing her up and buying her pink stuff.  Although I no longer put headbands on her (soft crochet ones that didn't squash her head people!), I am now obsessed with clips, and being the good girl she is, G leans her head forward when I put clips on her - she totally loves it.  If and maybe when she starts pulling them out, I am totally fine with that and will stop putting clips in her hair.  Until then I will clip away!  Also love these shoes, still trying to find her Minnie Mouse ones in her size... Hopefully her Daddy never finds out these baby shoes cost $40!

Presents!

Fun at the Zoo and presents for 1st Birthday

why is it so hard to find toys

I guess all the toys got bought up at Xmas!  I went looking for a water activity table and a plastic baby doll for G.  Cannot find either anywhere.  Seriously I can understand the water activity table dilemma - but a plain plastic baby doll??  I ended up buying this tiny plastic baby doll for the bath.  Sigh.

Am having major dramas with toy clutter.  We have a small house, and her room is upstairs so it is impractical to continually store things in there and pull them out every day.  She doesn't even have that many toys, I wonder what other parents do. I am thinking of buying big storage clear plastic boxes and putting big labels on them like, wheels/cars/trains etc, balls, blocks, rattles.  I think I just have to resign myself to the fact to live in a clutter free nice home I will just have to be super organised in putting things away for G and getting them back out. It would probably only take three boxes to actually store everything away under the stairs.

Adventure at the Zoo

We took G to the zoo. I was hoping that she was old enough now to enjoy it, and she loved it! The giraffes were her favourite, it was very cute. And in the gift shop I finally found hand puppets, I have been looking for some for ages! They were only $12.95 and they had a huge selection but we went with the giraffe and the kookaburra.

One Year Old!

G is one! Wow, time just flies :-). This time last year I was overdue and had given up hope that I was ever having a baby. I also didn't know if I was having a girl or boy (though I was pretty sure it was a girl). We are taking the little tike to the zoo for her birthday. Next birthday we will do something more extravagant with other little kids, but this year it will just be us.

Luckily we found a replacement portacot pretty quickly, babies r us had the Gosafe Portocot on sale for $59 save $30. We tried it instore and it unfolded and picked up easily. It looks exactly the same as the target lemon one but actually works!
